Apologies – AJ (Worcs LOC) and DG, welcome Tarek – Optom at SS H’ford and Shropshire
LOCSU update from Steve – GW to circulate Andy Byrne document.
DS update on current ICB meetings – GW and DS meeting before Xmas with Sonia Merrick – ICB more focused on Worcs – don’t like CHEC. Victoria (Worcs LOC) very keen to have H’ford schemes in Worcs. No change since then due to Xmas and New Year. Contracts to be extended in Worcs until September (for 6 months). Raised the HES CL service situation at this point – SM emailed Charmaine Hawker at ICB regarding this, hopefully some movement soon.
HES CL service – will need to be worked up if including Worcs practices due to license issues with Pharma outcomes (could add 3 or 4 practices in the short term on current license). No interest after sending out person specification in Worcs.
CH – 54K in bank, A Bell close to be ready to take over treasurer role – Spreadsheet for timesheets for LOC time to be completed on excel from CH not on Pharma outcomes
DS – 2 newly qualified optoms to be funded for prof cert glauc and 2 funded places for IP placements. CH – would be nice to have some IP availability in other areas, Ross on Wye etc.
BHA update – first clinic on 4th Jan - 50% of patients have uncontrolled HBP at appointment so ask patients to get this checked prior to pre-op.
SW update on ROC meeting from 19th of November. V.good met Victoria at ROC – national CUES specification and whether levy goes up or down. Conversations with ICB may require negotiation training! Victoria mentioned BMEC triage system which sounded interesting. Difficulties with EeRS in H’ford and meds management at ICB. Advice and Guidance/referral service – who gets paid primary care and secondary care. SW happy to go again!

Plan to alternate meetings from virtual from Face to face.
Website update: pages to be distributed across the committee – DS suggests first drafts in 4 weeks – Friday 7th of Feb. Tarek to proofread pages before GW uploads.

Seminar 2025 update - venue and date 30th April Seminar plus AGM. Left Bank. WFR/ST – to do macula service/ AI/ Lorcan Butler to do lecturer/ OCCS – Richard Edwards talks on record keeping. DO option – speaker from Zeiss?
Next meeting – face to face – 6Th March GW to arrange with Point 4, 7.00pm. GW to arrange meeting room. GW and Steve Roberts to join virtually.
